Theo Jansen’s sculptures

Remember those strange Sodaplay’s creations? They are strange, yet amazing machines and you can construct them virtually. Well, Theo Jansen makes them in real life and all of these things are moved by wind. He calls them “sculptures”. Beautiful engineering/art.

A Stockholm-based DJ. His works are smoothly mixed with carefully selected tracklist. Mostly are ambient/chillout/lounge with some tech/progressive house sets + special Chicane anthology sessions. They are available freely at his homepage (192 kbps) with tracklist information and cue files. Keep up the good job, DJ River!!

Crop circles

Saturday, August 19th, 2006.

Crop circles are areas of cereal or similar crops that have been systematically flattened to form various geometric patterns. The phenomenon itself only entered the public imagination in its current form after the notable appearances in England in the late 1970s.

Although the commonly accepted view today is that crop circles are a man-made phenomenon, paranormal explanations, often including UFOs, are still popular.
