Wonder what do those cryptic numbers on credit cards mean? Based on the first digits you can guess what kind of the card is.
- 1,2: Airlines
- 3: Travel/Entertainment (American Express)
- 4,5: Banking/Financial. (4 = VISA, 51-55 = Mastercard)
- 6: Merchandising/Financial (Novus/Discover)
- 7: Petroleum
- 8: Telecommunications
- 0,9: Other
