I once saw a lime green Lotus Elise with blacked out windows that had the numberplate:
VIIIRUS
That was pretty neat. Bet it cost a fortune though.

On Mugglenet.com they have an extensive page of license plates spotted around the world, all of which pertain to Harry Potter. My favorite is the NIMBS2K…obviously short for Nimbus 2000, Harry’s first broom. Brilliant.

I’ve also seen a “TROGDOR” plate. Trogdor is a dragon from the online Homestar Runner cartoons.

I saw a license plate in a hotel parking lot in Los Angeles yesterday, 1/20/07, that said “S8TEN” . I’m not sure if that is geeky or not, but I found it amusing, and a bit scary. I made sure not to bump into the driver of the car.
