Fart in a Duck

No offense, but Dutch language sounds somehow… strange. Similar idea to the Berlitz campaign: Every song tells a story. And, please, we are curious and need some translation. Anyone can help?

The TV station showing the kids program is indeed Dutch, but the language is not Dutch, but Flemish (it from Belgian).
Flemish is really close related to the Dutch language.
When we Dutch hear Flemish, it does sound sometimes really funny.

When we Flemisch guys here the dutch it sometimes sounds funny to!
The video is about ‘kabouter plop’. It’s a tv show for little childeren on Belgian television. The song tells something completely different than the subtitles.
It must be some kind of pervert who adjusted the text. But, it works and it’s funny!

Reading the sub-titles made me stop trying to listen to the actual wording of the song. Very weird all in all.
I didn’t understand everything, but going to take a good guess with the meaning of one sentence, “Fart in a duck” (*stops to laugh*) said in Flemish (according to previous response).
It means “Hole in my roof”. However, I’m translating from Afrikaans, so the translation may be a bit off but it fits with the video.
In Afrikaans it is: “Gat in my dak”.

Some things don’t even sound the same! How much imagination must one have to make ‘arse’ from ‘was’.
It is by the way hard to concentrate on the Flemish lyrics and English texts at the same time :O

Hi there, I’m Suzanne from the Netherlands. I translated the song: Fart in a duck for you. I put the translations in between. The song is from a Dutch childrens programm, the actors are actually Belgians.
