That is a hoax. They probably used a source of radiant heat either under the table or directed towards. Because first cellphones do not emit anything more when beeing called than they do beside that, and secondly because the amouth of radiation from a cellphone in use is so little that it wouldn’t cook a popcorn if you stacked every cellphone you could ever fit around it making the output everything they got.

The waves from the telephones have the same frequentcy as a microwave. You need more then one phone to pop some corn.
