Recycled cigarette butts clothing

Never thought that clothes and objects can made from such a “unique” material: cigarette butts. Designer Alexandra Guerrero recently has been starting the Mantis project which purificates cigarette filters then transform them to threads that could be knitted into all types of garments.
At first thought, that may sound over the top, or like it’s just meant to grab headlines, right? But the most surprising thing about the initiative is that the resulting pieces made from butts blended with wool look promising–cool even.
