The comment about the Unions contributing to the substance of the show reminded me of the time when I was showing a video art piece on television in Britain in the early 70s, and the Unions refused to touch the non-broadcast standard machine I had used..... so switching it on became part of the performance, a recording of an actor friend laughing continuously for 15 minutes - they only ran 5 minutes, but it was sufficient to lead into the discussion about community access to broadcast television channels. But that&#039;s another story....</description>
