Realistic face sketch
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006.
John has sent this incredible face sketch system, done in Flash. Not like the artistic Picasso, this one tries to be as realistic as possible. You have a big library of hair, head, noses, eyes … to choose from. Also there are load/save and print functions. Author: Max Ishchenko.

Shame on Max. This is ripped from an old Mac program which is still under copyright. I am alerting the company.
August 29th, 2006 07:58
Which old mac program has it been ripped off of?
August 30th, 2006 02:45
“Sketch Artist” I belive. It runs on 68k Macs (Plus and SE for sure) I think it was actually targeted at police forces and was quite expensive – though I doubt it caught on. I have been unable to find anything about it online, but my uncle has a copy (which is how I know about it).
August 30th, 2006 09:26
So what? You are probably the kid who raised his hand just before summer vacation, and reminded the teacher that “she forgot to assign homework!”
August 30th, 2006 10:40
i think that the program is great stolen or not. y even through a fit about it anyways. that was like back in the mac days then who cares. b/c now where in the gateway and stuff days. so let it go……
August 30th, 2006 11:04
hey moot, stop bothering, this job made in Flash is not stealing sourcecode. Maybe the idea is the same, but Max started from scratch…. The draws can´t be the same. Let others be creative.
August 30th, 2006 11:11
Moot: Try to defend your own property. The drawings can´t be the same. Let others be crative. This Job is made in Flash, so it is not stealing source code.
August 30th, 2006 12:06
who cares its cool so stfup! moot,we dont give a f%$#@$ about mac
August 30th, 2006 12:30
Just wait until the CJ sickos get a hold of this.
BTW, Thomas, you complete me.
August 30th, 2006 13:27
What kind of moron snitches out on anything including a way cool program like this one…
It’s sad that not everybody has the good sense to keep their mouths shut and enjoy life!!
August 30th, 2006 14:16
Hehe… I have nothing really to say, but this s**t is funny what u guy write…
August 30th, 2006 14:25
Who cares if it was ripped off or not? Max probably made it on his own anyway. It’s a great program. Thanks, Max!
August 30th, 2006 15:12
Seriously Moot. That’s the definition of douche-baggery.
August 30th, 2006 15:18
i think this is lame. you can’t really do much with it. certainly wasn’t worth being on the “9″
August 30th, 2006 15:25
Geez! As if it ‘has to be’ a rip off and there aren’t other similar style programs out there!
August 30th, 2006 15:33
Hey chill all of you, be keative and kool/
August 30th, 2006 16:04
I must say. I appreciate someone caring about copyrights. What is the point of being creative and getting something copywritten if someone comes along a snags your idea and all everyone else can say is “stop whining and be creative” Yes, report his butt. MAC rules!
August 30th, 2006 16:28
I agree. It sucks. Makes you look all hairy. Did moot commit suicide?
August 30th, 2006 16:30

Noone can make another bitmap editing software beside Adobe.

August 30th, 2006 20:00
SHUT THE FUCK UP EVERYBODY
August 30th, 2006 22:05
Moot you better be quiet! I’m appriciate Max for allowing us trying ‘an expensive’ mac program freely without afraid with copyright.
August 31st, 2006 05:35
leave him alone
August 31st, 2006 09:21
being “Creative” used to mean that you came up with “original” ideas… and i dont care if this was old mac software or anything else for that matter, the point of it all is the “sketch artist” thing has been done to death…
Im suprised an open comment thread stacked up this way, usually the intellegent people inject some sence of rational thinking and, i dunno, legal preference to the whole deal.. but this here is just a flame fest against someone who was attempting to make a valid point.
LOL @ the fact that someone here actually thinks their childish comments and opinions could drive an adult to something as final as suicide is a true testament to the quality of this community… later kids. (consider me suicided, cuz i aint coming back either. yay!!)
August 31st, 2006 10:53
I swear I just spotted Matt lurking in the corner to see if anyone responded to his “I’m not coming back either” comment.
August 31st, 2006 10:57
When is the page author going to turn off and disable comments? It’s like a bunch of 12 year olds from myspace invaded the comments section.
August 31st, 2006 11:40
The Internet seems to bring out to worst in people. Anyway, _very_ neat program; I’ve been looking for a sketch artist program to play around with, and this is the first one I’ve seen. Keep up the coolness.
August 31st, 2006 12:18
“The drawings can´t be the same”
The drawings are the only thing that is ripped. They are EXACT rips. Nothing else about this program took any effort. The only reason I’m turning this guy in is that he SPECIFICALLY STATES HE IS THE AUTHOR.
If he would have said “hey I made this out of an old Mac program” that would have been really cool.
I believe sharing media (even if copyrighted) is morally correct. But taking credit for that media is despicable.
August 31st, 2006 16:15
This exact program has been around (flash version) for ages. Somebody just dug it up
August 31st, 2006 21:39
How do you view your saved scetches? Anyone?
August 31st, 2006 23:42
Let’s see how this works….
September 1st, 2006 09:07
My son and i played with something similar on the PC (part of some game actually), and he just loved it.
September 1st, 2006 10:13
Will someone answer Jeff? I just spent way to long trying to sketch myself (and man, I’m no artist)….but do not know how to find it now. Actually, now that I think of it, it’d be better if it was gone forever maybe! lol

Brandon Walsh is the only person here who isn’t a total n00b. This site has been around since 2002.

September 2nd, 2006 05:42
You go to ‘load a face’ on the upper right hand corner to view the faces that you have created. You can search by name.
September 4th, 2006 23:06
1. No-one, but NO-ONE, likes a snitch so if you want to declare yourself as one, be prepared to take some flak for it.
2. I can’t seem to see where the author claims all original creative rights…
3. There is no such thing as an original idea any more, everything has been done.
4. No-one likes a snitch.
5. I like cake
September 8th, 2006 12:34
Is there a body sketch available? If yes, are hairy legs available?

January 19th, 2007 10:24
I really enjoyed it, it took me secs to make my own face and that of my bro and it looked quite realistic too.
I know several programs of which you could say it has been ripped from but this is made from scratch so juice to the maker. It is good!!!!

June 16th, 2007 01:54
I would like to apologize for posting a program that causes such a large number of rude and distasteful comments.
I would much rather have read how you feel about the program itself, rather than how you feel about a comment made by someone with a point. Yes, this is similar to a program used on old macintosh but this is not the same.
This is Ultimate Face Flash v0.42 Beta.
Thank you all for your time and understanding!
Again I apologize for the problems it seems to have produced.
June 26th, 2007 20:43
um…i think moot just got hacked…in the internet world, thats equivalent to getting whacked…thank the boss Ernie :B
July 14th, 2007 15:36
Hello! Well I sincerely like the program. I created a face like my boyfriends, but when I tried to print it stopped halfway and gave him a big black square for the rest of his face. lol, but other than that: fantastic. As for the apology, don’t even worry about those (stupid) comments. People like to get worked up and people like to target other people, whether they’re right or wrong. It’s like when some kid was getting beat up in middle school and all the kids stood around watching or chanting. It’s stupid, and it’s human. Anyways, thanks for the creative and interesting Face Sketch. :]
carly
September 9th, 2007 18:30
I like the idea of this program. This is great for victims of crimes who cannot draw or can’t get to a sketch artist in time to remember vague and fading details about a criminal who victimized them. I was once victimized but luckily I was a good enough artist that I could sketch the criminal in question. My only criticism would be for the future release would be more & better control of facial shapes & hair, more ethnic eyes, noses mouths etc… also a feature which would allow for aging or skin tone. Perhaps a layering feature and a “warp” feature which would allow more customization of facial features for better & more accurate facial reconstruction. But otherwise, a great program!! I can’t wait to see how the next version releases develop!

whats the website for this? i went on this before but now i cant find it.
January 2nd, 2008 17:43
These coposite choices seem to be more indicative of the Caucasian race. You need more of a range of composite parts.Or were you only planning to portray a particular area of us humans?
January 11th, 2008 00:58
Sutraquio… actually if you notice i have included many different shapes and sizes for eyes, noses, and mouths that would be sufficient for nearly any race as well as many hairstyles and facial hair. Again though, this was just a beta program and newer versions will become available as time permits.
Thank you to all of the great comments and remember…
GOOD and curteous comments and all of your ideas and input help to improve on future developments!
April 26th, 2008 01:29
MOOT, CALM DOWN, AND ENJOY THE SITE, OR IS IT THAT WE CAN PUT TOGETHER A SCETCH OF YOU AND FIND OUT YOU MAY BE WANTED? THE SITE IS GREAT AND MAY HELP THE AUTHORITIES WHEN SOMEONE YOU LOVE GETS ATTACKED OR ROBBED. JUST LEAVE MAX ALONE AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS.
May 18th, 2008 21:21
DO you guys know how to print it???
August 7th, 2008 18:36
Unfortunately because of the layering involved in the program a solution to the “printing” problems is still underway. However, using your Print Screen button will take a snapshot of the screen and you can paste, crop and edit the image in any image editing program including MS Paint.
Thanks for all of your support!
