Kyoto box solar cooker

The Kyoto box is a simple solar powered oven made out of two cardboard boxes, one inside the other, and an acrylic cover that lets in the sun’s rays and traps them. This 5$ solution helps reduce the big problems that 3 billion people around the world faced with: the deforestation for firewood in poor countries.
Invented by Jon Bohmer, it won a $75,000 prize from the Forum for the Future. Read more here.
