Let’s join and share the beautiful pictures of our universe. It shows us the deep space like The Andromeda Galaxy, The Cone Nebula, Whirlpool Galaxy… Besides that you can watch The Solar system, Planet Earth, Exploration, Entertainment … galleries. Hope these galleries from Space.com may help you have a complete view about our universe. -LMS-

Eta Carinaeta Ca
The Heat is On: Spitzer’s Infrared Views of the Cosmos

This striking picture reveals an eclectic mix of embryonic stars living in the tattered neighborhood of one of the most famous massive stars in our Milky Way galaxy, Eta Carinae. Astronomers say that radiation and winds from Eta Carinae and its massive siblings ripped apart the surrounding cloud of gas and dust, shocking the new stars into being.

Space Phenomenon Imitates Art
Hubble’s Latest Views of the Universe

This image resembling Vincent van Gogh’s painting, “Starry Night,” is Hubble’s latest view of an expanding halo of light around a distant star, named V838 Monocerotis (V838 Mon).

A Great Attraction: M31 – The Andromeda Galaxy

The Cone Nebula
Russell Croman [rcroman] photo of the dark gas and dust cloud known as the Cone Nebula. The photo was submitted on 6/9/05.

Situated in the constellation Monoceros (the Unicorn), the tremendous light given off by the cluster of hot young stars both illuminates and is slowly eroding the vast cloud of gas and dust from which they were formed. A relatively dense lump of gas and dust blocks the light of the bright star at the center of the image, giving rise to the enigmatic column of dark gas and dust known as the Cone Nebula.

Crab Nebula
Hubble’s Latest Photographs

The Crab Nebula is a six-light-year-wide expanding remnant of a star’s supernova explosion. Japanese and Chinese astronomers recorded this violent event nearly 1,000 years ago in 1054, as did, almost certainly, Native Americans. This is one of the largest and most detailed view taken by Hubble, and in addition, the highest resolution image ever made of the entire Crab Nebula.
