Peace be upon you
My name is : Aly
I am from Egypt and I study in the historical development of publications, the Olympics, do you have any information on the impact of technology on the printing of posters and slogans and declarations of the summer and winter sessions? And raw materials used in printing?
And technical schools to which belong these publications?

The 1928 Amsterdam poster shown here is not the right one. See http://www.athensinfoguide.com/olympicposterssummer.htm for the original poster. The IOC never managed to obtain the copyrights for that poster, so for all publications after the games they used the cover design of a book on the Olympics.
Note the text in German: "Olympische Spiele"; in Dutch that would have been "Olympische Spelen", or "IXe Olympiade" as used on the real poster.

Tokyo, Munich, Moscow and Barcelona stick in my head - I don't ever remember seeing Atlanta, Sydney or Los Angeles - I'm not surprised; they're pretty shit.

In defence of the London 'blowjob' 2008 poster.. At least this horror is being talked about and noone will ever claim they don't recognize the brand - Is that not one of the purposes of this design?
