Wednesday, December 26th, 2007.
We have reported about this amazing artist earlier through an article by CNN. Here are more photos from his works, some are truely beautiful creations from those bricks. Thanks to Nathan for the submit.

Not this fucking failure again, Jesus Christ, you all are tools if you think this is art. It’s a dumbass 35+ year old playing with toys.
January 2nd, 2008 05:42
keep yourself out of the pictures.
January 3rd, 2008 00:00

January 3rd, 2008 00:00
Nice work.

this poster is obviously a juvenile idiot with no life and a terribly bad upbringing. pity on you!
January 3rd, 2008 07:32
This IS art and sheer genious..What style and imagination..What a rare, different breash of fresh air..Your talent matches your imagination, I would settle for the gift of either one..Thankyou for sharing with us!!
January 3rd, 2008 09:30
I loved leggos as a kid and always wished i had the…well, there just isn’t a word in English to describe it. The word in is Spanish: “ganas”. It means: determination, desire, strength, passion, belief, fortitude and will. Keep it up!
January 5th, 2008 05:37
cool!!

d, if its only playing with toys produce one like it……then people will listen to you.
January 5th, 2008 19:39
So…tell me…when working on a project such as this…do you start from the top? ;o)
By the way, it’s art…let’s see “d” try to attempt something that includes more than just the one thick brick “d” was born with.
January 5th, 2008 22:09
This D-bag needs to stop posing with his “art.”
January 5th, 2008 23:34
Amazing!
January 6th, 2008 03:34
Not one but TWO goatse ringers! Now we know how this bloke spends the little free time he must have
January 6th, 2008 03:44
I like all of your work are they permanent installations or do you build them on site and remove them when they are done with the piece?
January 6th, 2008 06:03
It’s his art let him pose with it… lol… I think it’s really neat that he took the time and effort to do all of those…
January 6th, 2008 07:27
I think the work is amazing…and he’s kinda cute…I am GLAD he was in the pictures (guess I have a thing for slightly geeky boys)
January 6th, 2008 10:50
It is wonderful art and very impressive. I would rather see this that the people that just smear paint on the canvas with their nude bodies or whatever it was. Kudos for being brave enough to pose with his art. Most artists won’t for fear of criticism.
January 6th, 2008 13:17
Wow! fantastic! Keep it UP!
January 6th, 2008 14:35
Dude. This guy is amazing. Screw the people who think that this guy isn’t making art just because he is playing with legos. I want to see all the naysayers do better.
January 6th, 2008 19:46
wow. The man who made this is amazing, but gay. Keep posing like a cat buddy.
January 6th, 2008 20:13
I see that your detractors have posted their opinions. Personally, I think you are creative and innovative. An unusual and unique art form, but is that not what art is all about?
January 7th, 2008 02:04
The epitome of kitsch.
January 7th, 2008 03:53
Cute
January 7th, 2008 04:01
The works are inventive and skillfully done, but the man is a famewhore and gets no respect from me.
January 7th, 2008 07:45
nice try. i like photoshop. it’s obvious that this is all a hoax. this is not art and you should be ashamed of yourself. i just wanted you to know that. i’m on to you.
January 7th, 2008 07:47
pretty much the best thing ever
January 7th, 2008 07:55
This guy’s truly an artist and a lego enthusiast.. lovely artworks.. The man looking at the mirror is the best..
January 7th, 2008 10:25
art or not art, who cares.
I just want that Hans Solo piece!!
January 7th, 2008 10:35
All I know is that it would take me about 3 years to build just one of these. Amazing work. Oh, and fuck you “d”
January 7th, 2008 12:57
How can u be dissin’ a man wid this many Legos? Maximum Kudos
January 8th, 2008 15:24
This stuff is very cool specially the way he made all the curved shapes out of something like Lego must be extrenely hard to do. One thing I wonder though is if the Lego pieces are painted by the artist himself or if all these colors exist in original Lego pieces specially in the picture of the woman (different orange to yellow shades) and in the earth globe (different shades of green). At least when I was a kid there weren’t pieces in that many colors. Also I think the artist must have missed the internet phenomenon known as goatse or goatse.cx (in the 1st and 18th pictures) or he is trying to make that a joke for all of us who know what that is. Very cool anyway.
January 11th, 2008 04:26
Truly amazing. And, while I would like to see more pictures of just the art, having him in there gives you a good idea of scale you might not have otherwise. You see how truly huge some of these things are.
January 11th, 2008 07:15
Guys. His being there helps you see how big the piece is. I did not mind it; I don’t see why everyone is making a fuss.
Calling it ‘gay’ is so ridiculous; he obviously spent a lot of time on these, so don’t disrespect him.
Anyway, these are amazing. I have no idea how you would go about creating them. Looks really difficult…
January 13th, 2008 20:09
Superb work. Really creative and imaginative.
Ronan Gallagher
January 14th, 2008 00:21
To all the people harshly criticizing these pictures: first, try to structure your reasoning and not to become personal, then you may issue your opinion. Secondly, there is no such thing as Art, no criteria which define what is “Art”, only time can separate crap from “universal” art. What can for sure be said is that it is a great piece of craftsmanship and very creative.
As for the “oeuvres d’art”, the works, just great! Who among us hasn’t played with Lego at least once in their youth? I for my part am hoping that my child(ren) will like Lego, so I can play with them
.
Where the colours are concerned, it comes actually very close to pixel art, i.e. the way icons etc. are constructed, just that it is 3D and thus even more difficult.
January 14th, 2008 04:13
Damn buddy u r fuckın perfect at that thing,,the mirror one just blowed my mınd away..perfectly amazing,….
January 14th, 2008 09:53
How can he afford all those Legos? They’re not cheap. Hopefully Lego sponsors him or cuts him a deal, unless he is an employee!
January 15th, 2008 00:48
Cut the artist some slack! He is trying to make a living doing what he loves, so he does publicity stills, and it does provide scale to the big pieces. And of course this IS art, since several people in here THINK it is (and are even willing to pay for it apparently). My personal opinion is that a couple of these are world-class.
January 15th, 2008 04:44
seriously d, I think you are jealous
January 15th, 2008 06:14
Amazing!!! It is an artwork, and of course a uniq one
Thank you for sharing! I am looking forward to see more
)
January 15th, 2008 13:22
I have to say, you have an amazing grasp of art in this format. Your pieces remind me of early computer graphics in the very pixelated states. The forms and colors you choose have a very appealing blend of both order and disorder. To quote a famous person, “I may not know art, but I know what I like.” Well done!
January 15th, 2008 18:01
This is quite extraordinary. In art school, many of the most important classes are on taking unconventional materials to make works of art. I think this would certainly qualify.
What a person considers art is a purely subjective matter. Many people think Damien Hirst is a publicity stuntman with no talent, yet even the Tate Gallery and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston are eager to get their hands on his installations.
Well done, Nathan. I too have seen this posted quite a bit, but I don’t tire of it. I’d love to see another round of these masterpieces.
January 16th, 2008 02:59
I am 6-1/2 years old and I love to build Legos. How do you come up with your designs? I would like to learn how to make some of the things you made.
January 16th, 2008 05:07
Marvelous job. Two thumbs up.
You rocks.
January 16th, 2008 10:36
I think that these make to a be a fine collection of artworks, he has quite the artistic vision.
To those that say that art can’t be made of legos, phooey on you. If you don’t call this art, then what would you call ‘art’? whether it be plastic bricks (legos) or colored liquids (paint), if anyone could make something beautiful out of their own imagination and expression, that is art
January 16th, 2008 10:37
Well, personally, i think you are amazing. The skill that requires you to do something like… that! I’d love to make something like that but unfortunately i dotn have the time with work n’ all
Kudo’s to you and i am DEFINITELY looking forward to more
if u can be bothered lol
January 16th, 2008 10:39
also, i’m sure that the people who say bad things about this are just looking for their cheap jollies by saying bad stuff to others on the internet, because they’re too afraid to speak to others like that in real life.
January 16th, 2008 16:06
Man…
Your job is good, but serious…
Go get a girlfriend…
January 16th, 2008 20:04
i don’t see the problem with using legos as an art medium, for those cynics out there. and as far as putting himself into the pictures, i didn’t mind. why should anyone? i feel as though some of you people go from stumble to stumble looking for things to criticize rather than getting off your ass and making something worthwhile of your own.
nice work, man.
January 17th, 2008 01:27
I think, it is a very good work and it’s nice. I never thought, that one can build such things with legos. What is art? Art is, when there is one person who makes a think, what nobody else does. That’s, what this man here did – and it is good. I have a great respect to this artwork. A man, playing with toys? Why not? This man does, what everyone deep in the heard would like to do, but it is “embrassing” and so the people forget, how nice it is, to be a child. Here, this man, show us that wonderful “be a child” – and share this joy with us.
Thank you.
January 17th, 2008 02:30
that’s fukn wicked!
what a legend
haha
they should make a lego man dedicated to him
January 17th, 2008 02:59
In a word: INCREDIBLE!!
Too bad there’s not an exhibition near me.
Perhaps you could try a different medium such as clay, or even sand (wet sand sculptures, at the beach) You would probably take first prize!
January 17th, 2008 07:30
Brilliant work

=)
January 20th, 2008 00:00
Very cool! I think it’s looks amazing. I never realized such things could be done with lego. To all the naysayers that calls him a loser, well if you hate it so much why do you hang on the site? It’s a big internet go off and surf somewhere else or try doing something creative yourself instead of being rude about what others do.
January 20th, 2008 00:09
Wow! That’s brilliant and amazing!
January 20th, 2008 18:03
Some of his creations are very inventive whilst others are a rather ordinary i think overall he is very creative, but i also do not feel the need to see him posing along side his work – a one of photo would be fine, as i personally feel it a little distracting to see him posing along side of his work but this said i am a great believer in artistic expression and think he is doing just fine. Good luck and carry on!
January 20th, 2008 18:58
Not this fucking failure again, Jesus Christ, you all are tools if you think this is art. It’s a dumbass 35+ year old playing with toys.
Really? What do you do with your time? Anything close to what this guy has done? I imagine you are too busy playing Xbox artist or dipping your hand in the vaseline jar…
January 20th, 2008 20:54
I don’t see the problem with using Lego as a medium either. I use paint, and I used that in Kindergarten.
But where the hell do you order 8 million legos at once? I want to do it once, just to see how the guy at the store reacts. “Yes, I’ll take 70 000 boxes of lego please, but can you pick out only the orange ones for me, please?”
Tellie
January 21st, 2008 01:28
Nathan, you are just Great
January 21st, 2008 05:26
Outstanding…. Are you MARRIED ?!?!?
January 21st, 2008 23:39
I’ve got serious issues with the whole “Too much time on your hands comments” or the “this guys is playing with toys comments” first off: Art is….that is it, it just IS. It does not matter if its a picture, paint, photo or a pile of trash that when the light reflects is a cool shadow (which is cool if you can check it out). I would love for those who think this is not art to have a conversation with Jackson Pollack or John Cage(composer). and 2nd: what the hell is so important that takes up everyone elses time. If you don’t have kids or your not married, and your bills are paid, then finding useless shit to do IS the “important” thing to do!! I LOVE waisting time, I know when I have a family and shit, i won’t get the chance, but for now, I’m posting here!
January 22nd, 2008 00:41
I think I like the hand holding the houses the best. They are all unique and have a style that is bright and uplifting. You done good.
January 22nd, 2008 02:12
Blew me away.
The artist been in most pic only stops me from downloading the works to my screen saver.
Fantastic stuff
January 22nd, 2008 04:55
Man, its plain genius!
Simply stunning.
January 22nd, 2008 17:25
wooooowwww, soooooo coooooolllll~~~~
January 22nd, 2008 18:11
wow, thats really amazing .. the one that takes my breat away though is the one with the guy looking in the mirror .. awesome indeed !
January 23rd, 2008 14:07
Great works and he’s kinda cute
January 24th, 2008 14:02
Expensive Hobby
January 24th, 2008 16:13
He never changes his hairstyle. Some of these pics were taken maybe years apart I would guess, from the labour required to make them and the curve apparent in his development as an artist. They were not all taken on the same day as his clothes do change as do the locations and I would be surprised if all of these pieces were still intact or in one place at the same time. So: def; he’s kept that hair for years. That’s the primary artistic point he’s making, right?
January 24th, 2008 22:34
Totally ingenious and awesome.
January 25th, 2008 00:37
Absolutely Amazing, Your work Captures the essence of EXACTLY what ART truly is. Vision and Expression. BRAVO
January 25th, 2008 03:08
Man, I just wish I had that much money… I have to resort to destroying my old legos if I ever want to build a new one…
January 26th, 2008 23:36
Fantastic, bookmarked it. my son is gonna love this site!
January 27th, 2008 03:49
Awesome sculptures. Um how many legos do you have?
January 27th, 2008 14:25
Insane,fantastic..check out this one http://www.brickartist.com/lego-art/post-1.html
January 27th, 2008 16:06
Wow you wonder how much time he spends on each and whether he gets paid for the effort. Seriously, does he make a living from this?
January 28th, 2008 03:00
These are incredible.
January 28th, 2008 19:04
Imagine being paid to do such incredible work and enjoying your job to the max! What a gift!
January 29th, 2008 18:18
Respect man! very very interesting art… with all respect!
January 31st, 2008 11:53
I love it.
February 2nd, 2008 00:07
Ignore the cretinous naysayers. These pieces rock!
February 2nd, 2008 01:21
Oh wow. I would love to meet you. You are sooooo inspiring….Love your work. Wonder what it would feel like to get a bunch of lego flowers. Awesome!
February 2nd, 2008 07:03
TO ALL THE HATERS: The reason why hes in most the pictures is to show the scale/size of the artwork. If he wasn’t in them you would not be able to tell how large the artworks are in actuality.
February 2nd, 2008 10:52
amazing work! we should build houses out of legos in like hurricane and earthquake zones so when the shit hits the fan we can just build it back up again…
February 2nd, 2008 18:02
OMG! I love your work. I am doing a report on you for school. Hey “d” I think you meant to spell fools not tools… your a smart one arn’t you?!? Oh and for all you people that say he has to much time on his hands you have to remember its his JOB! Hey Nathan are you single… Your hott!!!
February 2nd, 2008 18:13
Hey I have a question about Dylans comment… all you said was cute… did you mean the art work, Nathan, or both? Never mind don’t answer that.
February 5th, 2008 23:33
Awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 7th, 2008 03:04
Ben, you stole my comment. I hope WOW!!! will convey my feeling. I’m overawed! Such patience must be needed for this amazing art. My grandsons’ lego kits will never look the same. PS Yes, Nathan is very easy on the eye, too.
February 8th, 2008 01:23
bu ne lan amına koduğumun salağı koca adam olmuş hala lego oynuyo bu kadar mal da bakıp wow mow bişeler demiş, siktirin gidin lan ibneler
February 9th, 2008 22:17
“wow. The man who made this is amazing, but gay. Keep posing like a cat buddy.”
My thought exactly. The “art” is pretty gay too. Pretentious and completely free of any real artistic originality.
February 13th, 2008 21:12
AWESOME!!!!!!!
February 14th, 2008 20:55
Awesome!
February 15th, 2008 03:46
To clarity! I think the Lego’s great, and it’s fun, but I also think he’s cute.
February 17th, 2008 08:36
All the haters on this guy I have to say this to – is this high art – hell no but tomorrow I’ll go to my boring ass job behind a cube under bad lights and this guy will make a Lego Arc de Triumph and get paid for it. Who REALLY doesn’t have a life here?
February 17th, 2008 17:55
A lot of time on his hands? Like any of us that put in 10 hours surfing the net with nothing to show for it?
At least he has an accomplishment.
Good for him.
February 17th, 2008 20:24
nice!!!
February 17th, 2008 21:42
Very cool. Fun yet almost life-like. Pure art.

Greetings from Germany!
March 7th, 2008 04:41
all i have to say is.. do thosecome with an assembly manual?
i guessed not… considering it would probably make that thousand and one page dictonary at the library look like a child’s bedtime story.
lol!
March 7th, 2008 04:47
and my fav is the flag raising at Iwo Jima
and not to be rude.. but that one would have looked better without a real person in the picture.
that was a very important day in history and there i a reason that it usually stands alone
again, no offence
they grey tones are set off by the flag… but the light of your skin.. you get my point
still, a realistic recreation
March 7th, 2008 06:11
outstanding work…..voted 5 star
March 7th, 2008 23:29
Cool work!
March 8th, 2008 07:32
you are amazing!

Mucho trabajo…Poco contenido…Arte vació…
Cuando era niño ame el lego pero por favor crea un arte menos superficial.CRECE…
April 6th, 2008 10:02
this is hot. I’ve always envied artists who can make things out of…. things.
I’m sure he managed to create some of these in a mere few hours.
For those of you bashing him with too much time on his hands? As an artist I can tell you that you get better, and it gets easier, thus the pictures, sculptures etc do not take weeks and weeks to create.
April 8th, 2008 02:10
Woah! Amazing.
April 12th, 2008 04:51
this guy would be my hero is I was still 9 years old.
April 20th, 2008 03:36
Felicitaciones por tu trabajo, no soy conocedor de arte pero, cualquier persona que piense de manera senzata sabe apreciar el esfuerzo, talento y horas de trabajo invertidas en tus obras.
April 25th, 2008 10:44
These creations are all very nice work. But, ART?
The dictionary states this about art: –noun
1. the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.
This to me is not Art. These items are very well made. They are certainly unique and his creations. Think about this. Lego can sell the parts with instructions and almost anyone with the time can reproduce it.
When a person tiles his bathroom, is this art? It might be the greatest tile job ever done. He may have custom cut and fit each single piece and inlaid different materials together to build a beautiful one of a kind design.
But it’s not art. It’s just tile and this is just Lego’s. Carve these sculpture from a single plastic block, It’s art. Assembling toys from 1000s of blocks meant to be connected? He just tiled a floor if you ask me.
It is nice work and I will thumbs up the page just because he obviously has put a lot of work into his designs.

Your work is amazing! I don’t see how someone cannot see art in this type of work. Even if you “tile your bathroom” in a way that expresses your thoughts and feelings, etc. it’s art. Art is not the “by default” master pieces of Renoir or the opuses of Giuseppe Verdi. Art does not have a definition, is that complex. Defining art is similar to describing the color blue. Go ahead, try!

Nathan, You’re Lego artwork is incredible!!! Have I seen some of your work at Legoland in Downtown Disney, Florida??? I like the idea that you are in some of the creations, to give as a visual the size. Treasure

Wow, this is pretty much the most amazing thing I have ever seen!!! This is crazy! This guy must have TONS of patience to put all of this together!
May 14th, 2008 02:05
why are people saying this isn’t art? the human pieces are some of the most intuitive ad creative works i’ve seen. he has a thoughtful mind and a keen eye. amazing.
May 14th, 2008 05:27
I think I’m in love…
May 18th, 2008 21:43
Awsome.
Also, if a lot of people concider it to be art it is. Just because you don’t like it or think it’s pointless doesn’t mean it’s not art. If this were true, nothing would be concidered art. I think “d” and others like him/her are jelous of a. his talent b. his time to do this and/ or c. his money because this would be an expensive hobby/ job
By the way, I thought nothing of his being in the pictures, but now that I think about it, I agree with those who say they like it because they can see how big they are.
May 19th, 2008 23:58
these pictures are superb
mind blowing
good work done by that person

to you, Nathan, i hope u still check this site to see what people think and if you dont thats ok because that means your not vain.
but to the meat of the matter:
i will not tell you that your creations are amazing, exelent or awsome, I feel that has already been covered.
i will tell you that they did take time, i too have tried to build such things(with limited sucess). i can tell you it is time consuming and hard to conseptualize what your building. i can tell you his fingers hurt and have a lot of scars and calises(pardon my spelling).
i just have one question for him and i hope he answers it: what do you use to keep them together? mine always fall apart unless i add more legos and then it’s not what i invisioned and super glue doesnt work. what do you use?
May 25th, 2008 11:27
marry me? that is really truly amazing.
May 27th, 2008 00:30
Those of you ragging o n his art are just jealous because you have no goals or accomplishments in your own sad little lives. That is absolutely superb….kudos to the artist!!!
June 8th, 2008 01:44
Your work is amazing and completely beautiful! I love that you have obviously gone through a lot of self discovery and soul-searching to come out with art like that. And it amazing to take something so ordinary and make into epic art.
June 13th, 2008 10:48

July 26th, 2008 07:05
I’m tired of this. The dictionary states this about art: –noun
1. the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance. This is art because it is pleasing to the eyes, and DOES have more significance then a pile of legoes. This is no different than sculpting; which has always been adults “playing with rocks or clay” by this D’s definition, The David is a rock that needs to be swept from the museum, The ancient murals are just graffiti, the ceiling of the 16th chapel is just a cool paint job. What about tapestries? over done sheets or curtains? What is art then?

You have an amazing talent! It really disturbs me that so many individuals on this comments list say horrendously stupid things. One even said this was “computer generated!” Please! You are a skillful artist with a unique vision. Bravo!!
August 6th, 2008 07:09
You are an amazing artist with a unique vision. Bravo!! Forget the idiotic comments left by no-brains who claim your work is “computer generated” or even worse…. Keep the fascinating pieces coming!!
August 8th, 2008 03:34
This guy is probably really annoying in realy life, and stuck up to. He needs to be photographed in all his art? whats his deal?

August 10th, 2008 21:23
i like it. some people are way too opinionated. so what if i waste my time doing nothing, i guess i could be making sculptures with legos too.

August 20th, 2008 23:49

August 30th, 2008 16:53

September 11th, 2008 07:47
Uh… goatse? Several times?
September 12th, 2008 04:46
Nice. I like the face coming out of the vagina.
September 23rd, 2008 18:58
Wow, for me this just brings up memories of before image compression algorithms were all that great and images were full of artifacts because of it. The legos snap in place in a set distance, a perfect analogy of pixels. A unique time in the history of computers, seemingly preserved in three dimensions by this awesome artist. I love this.
September 23rd, 2008 21:13
There’s far more “art” in every single one of these than Hursts diamond skull and the other souless crap that’s put out.
Art should stir any emotion except greed, there is beauty in most things ignore the haters, it’s good.
October 23rd, 2008 15:08
